Can't close my HAQM account even though they don't want me anymore.
You might think since they don't want me to sell FBM anymore ( I drop shipped an order so as not to disappoint the customer) that they would close my HAQM seller account, to which I readily agreed. The seller policies and management are beyond tolerable and I am glad to leave. Well, of course, I figured out how to respond to all the requirements to close my account, but it is still blocked from closing, with no clear explanation as to why they won't close it. I did every single thing they want you to do to close the account. They say to "continue selling on FBA" although I never did and never would sell on FBA. OK, I am not losing any money to them as they did return the $6.40 I was owed by them....but it is so aggravating to play by all their rules and still get a "blocked" status when trying to close the account.. What is the point in this? Is there a point? Why should I think anything would be easy on this site? After over 20+ years of selling, with great customer feedback, it is quite sad to see how things went from "great" to ....impossible.

You cannot close an account unless it is in good standing. Since yours is deactivated, you cannot officially close it.
But since it's deactivated, the difference is semantics. Make sure that you are on the Individual plan (so no monthly fee) and have no inventory in FBA. Probably a good idea to delete any listings if you are able.
Then just walk away.
ETA: And yes, it's terrible that they punish you for dropshipping to keep a customer happy; a practice that has long been considered proper customer service among booksellers who realize that they don't have the book, or that it's not in the condition they advertised. But HAQM doesn't see it that way.

If you've been deactivated from FBM your account is NOT in good standing, which means you cannot close your account. Everything @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrwsaid still applies. Make sure you have no inventory listed anywhere, switch to an Individual plan and delete any listings you might still have visible. Either way, you're done on HAQM. Unfortunately the days of dropshipping to keep a buyer happy are long, long gone.

I'm just curious: Can you do FBA on the individual plan?
I do FBA on the pro plan, and don't intend to switch. As I said, I'm just curious.
