Key benefits of detail page video

Video has become a core part of the shopping journey. Shoppers use videos to discover new products, make more informed buying decisions, and connect with creators and communities they trust.

Are you familiar with shoppable videos? They’re videos you can create and add to the image carousel on your product detail pages. Shoppable videos don’t need to be high budget productions or produced specifically for HAQM. Some popular formats include product set-up or review, unboxing, and storytelling, but most importantly customers want videos that are authentic, entertaining, and informative.

Shoppable videos can help you tell your brand story, and can also help move the needle for sales. Research has shown that customers who watch videos are 3.6 times more likely to convert. Shoppable videos can:

In the past few days, some HAQM process has distorted the video thumbnails of several of our products when viewed on mobile devices, squeezing the recommended 16:9 thumbnail (including the normally circular "play" icon) in to a square aspect ratio that makes the thumbnail look sloppy and amateurish.

The thumbnail is distorted on all mobile devices, but appears normally on desktop screens.

Re-uploading the original 16:9 thumbnail in the Manage Video screen doesn't fix this.

Might you have any suggestions to restore our original thumbnails?

An example of the distorted, squeezed thumbnail image seen on mobile phones is below.
