$1400 shipping adjustment mistake can not get answers from support all automated responses

Shipping adjustment posted to my account in the amount of over $1400 saying a product is 90 pounds when it is only around 20, which either way $1400 is 10 times more than it should ever be. Sent multiple messages/cases to customer support and only receiving automated responses. Can someone please help or point me in the right direction to get help?

Hello @Seller_rwkFwiJhme5vL

Have you filed a support case disputing the carrier-audited information with photos or product information showing that the original label information was accurate? If you provide me with a recent Case ID, I can investigate these carrier adjustments and determine if there are additional steps available for you to escalate that dispute.

The carrier-audited weight of 90 pounds indicates that the packages were subject to the UPS Large Package Surcharge. According to UPS, for domestic shipments, a package is considered a "Large Package" when its combined length (longest side of the package) and girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] exceed 130 inches, or its length exceeds 96 inches. These Large Packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds.

Looking at the dimensions given by the carrier, they have massively mis-measured your package. So the huge charge is for dimensional weight

I'm going through the whole thing too. I'm basically sending out free product. I was charged an additional $27 on top of the shipping I paid which was almost $10 . On a BOX OF SOAP. That's one example. The charges are GROSSLY WRONG . I have a case open for weeks with no resolution and I continue to be in the negative. I am poor and this is devastating.

Does the carrier happen to be UPS? We were just charged almost 2,000$ in extra fees this week on a return that they are claiming was almost 400lbs, when in reality it was about 90. I had to contact HAQM rep and provide dock photos and dimensions/weights, but they did say that it should be reversed.

We need to do something about all this scam fraudulent shipping carriers not sense charges, you should contact directly to the shipping carrier to reimburse it, if not get a lawyer because this shipping charges fraud need to stop, I do have more of $1,000 extra carrier fraudulent charges for year and no one want to make resposible for this and this charges it it a fraud scam and stolen from us, small business.

This is another repeated mass issue with multiple 3p sellers on HAQM. It will be almost impossible to reverse these adjustments but as you going forward my advise is do not use HAQM UPS or any other account. Add your own carrier accounts to HAQM and use them or simply use your accounts outside of HAQM even though you wont be "protected" by HAQM. Even if HAQM is giving you better rates and says it will protect you in case of fraud it is not worth the post adjustments and not being able to file claims and recoup losses.

Anything you "the 3rd party seller" give to HAQM hands to run your business is bad business.

I have the same issue.... For a "phone charging cable", which was shipped on April 1st , less than 4oz, USPS charged me $71.78 (price got adjusted today 6/6/25) , stating that package was 24LB! After 2 months package got bigger and heavier!!!! Are you kidding me ?

Can someone let me know how can i fix this? @KJ_HAQM or anyone from amazon that can really help because this is just ridiculous.

Case id 17873841451

Thanks

Do you have your own UPS account connected to HAQM Buy Shipping or are you using HAQM's UPS account? You will have a much easier time disputing charges if you are using your own shipping account connected to HAQM Buy Shipping because it is your account and not HAQMs. The majority of disputes with UPS using amazons UPS accounts don't get reversed and the sellers get stuck in limbo between UPS and HAQM with both sides not taking blame and leaving the sellers out of money. If you haven't already done it connect your own UPS account to HAQMs buy shipping and it might help reduce a lot of headaches.
