got a 1 star review due to refusing buyer's threat, what do you think about it?

Hi @Manny_HAQM

I got a 1 star review a few months ago. I have ever asked for help, but did not get a helpful answer.

Could you help me address it please?

The story is that a buyer sent a message to me requesting refund without return the product, or he/she will leave a 1 star review both on my listing and seller profile. I tried to understand the problem and offer help, but the buyer didnt show the detail, and persist in requesting a refound without return. I refused this requirement, and suggested he follow HAQM rule return the product then he/she will get the refound. At last the buyer left the 1 star review.

The vedio of review is not showing the problem, but vicious. The words of the review most about the product, and the part of service is untrue.

Not sure why you kept sending this buyer to HAQM. A simple "I am sorry you are not happy with the product you purchased. You can request a free return, a label will be issued to you and you can request a free carrier pick up or drop the package in any collection box, no waiting in line required. And after that "no response needed" also, I assume you reported the message from the link there?

Maybe a mod will look into this, feedback should certainly be removed. Not sure about the review, as the buyer stated he was unhappy with the quality, but black mailing sellers used to violate policy....

"The story is that a buyer sent a message to me requesting refund without return the product, or he/she will leave a 1 star review both on my listing and seller profile."

I had the same thing where a buyers was not happy with the color assortment of an 'assorted colors' item and threatened me the same way.

I reported their message to HAQM and authorized a prepaid return. They then wanted 50% off a $100+ item. I refused and said to just send it back.

They left the promised "1" and AMAZON refused to remove it.

Extortion is a permitted way of life on HAQM and sellers pay the price.

"Poor in fact Zero quality control. Places blame elsewhere and doesn’t offer a solution other than return and no exchange.

Your Response: This feedback is what happens when HAQM allows extortion. The “buyer” ordered a box of “assorted” colors for over $100. "Buyer” states they are “not happy” with the colors received. “Buyer” then says “I’m going to go to HAQM and request a refund if 50% and I keep the item...Furthermore I will leave negative feedback” AFTER I offered full refund and prepaid label. They then left this!"

HAQM want their sellers to give into extortion and customer threats. By doing nothing to counter customer threats and extortion HAQM is endorsing threats and extortion. HAQM rarely protects us sellers. As far as threats and extortion, HAQM considers threats and extortion a valid way of making sellers more "customer-centric."

It is not a bug, but a feature, as far as HAQM is concerned.

On eBay I recently had a customer refuse to return something AND want a refund. He threatened me with a negative feedback. When I did not give in here left a negative. I messaged eBay and they called me back. After eBay read the customer/seller messages eBay removed the feedback.

But HAQM? They do not care to act in a moral manner.
