Product misclassified and suspended due to button or coin cell batteries under 16 CFR 1263 / ANSI/UL 4200A

Hi Moderators,

We’re reaching out to request your assistance in escalating an issue that we’ve been unable to resolve through regular support channels.

Several of our listings were recently suspended due to outdated product detail information that initially referenced a remote control using a coin cell battery. This was based on early design considerations when we first created the listings. However, during final production, we changed to a remote powered by standard AAA batteries. The coin cell battery version was never manufactured or sold.

We’ve since updated the product listings to reflect the correct battery type and provided the following documentation:

Product images showing the AAA-powered remote

Manufacturer references confirming AAA batteries

Test reports from an ISO 17025-accredited lab verifying the absence of coin cell batteries

Despite this, the ASINs remain suspended. All responses to our support cases have been automated, with continued requests for documentation that applies only to products that actually include button or coin cell batteries under 16 CFR 1263 / ANSI/UL 4200A.

We understand and fully support HAQM’s safety compliance standards, but in this case, the policy seems to be applied incorrectly due to legacy listing data. We’re at a point where a manual review is essential.

Here are the relevant case IDs:

17565094141

17565350181

17565191141

We would greatly appreciate your help in escalating this to the appropriate internal team for proper resolution.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.
