However, there are instances where creating a new listing might be more appropriate:

• If the new product is functionally different from existing variations
• If it doesn’t fit within the current variation theme (e.g., color, size)
• If it’s a new version or model of an older product

Remember, parent and child products should be the same type, brand, and style. If your new product differs significantly, it’s better to create a separate listing.

To add a new variation to an existing listing:

1. Go to “Inventory” then “Manage Inventory” in Seller Central
2. Find the product you want to add a variation to
3. Select “Edit listing” from the menu options
4. Edit your listing to add the new variation and submit for review
