Reimbursement Value on Handmade Items

Case ID 17813337431

HAQM acknowledged they lost 3 pieces of my last shippement however only reimbursed 14 usd on a 45-55 usd items price tag... this doesnt even cover materials I contested this and was directed to a tool to dispute this by submitting an invoice... I contacted seller central remarking im a handmade seller hence i would never have any purchase invoice... their answer was sure we can help as long as you provide an invoice... deep breath.....

anyone can help or point out how to address best in the future? I heard somewhere (lost the article) there is a way to input our costs... contacted seller central to point me in the right direction,... they are playing dumb as if they don't understand what i'm talking about... deep breath again....

The submit invoice only works if you submit an amount that they are willing to give you. I gave up on that. I just experiment with slight increases using the update page, until I hit a $ that they won't allow. I have random ASINs with more that 50% of retail price, but most are limited at 47% or less. There is no sense to it, two ASINs may only differ in color and they will be $5 apart in reimbursement allowed.

And woe is you if you ever had a sale, because the % of reimbursement will be on that sale price.

Every few days I check to see if more items are Eligible for Update, and experiment with the numbers.

The only solution is to remove everything from FBA, I have been slowly doing this as I have 1000s of units over a year old since sales stopped 2 years ago.

HAQM just needs to get something so they can tick the box that says that they have received an invoice. I have made a form where I "sell" items to myself with a wholesale price that covers material and labor costs only (shipping and other costs are not reimbursable under the new rules). So far, when I submit one ASIN per invoice I haven't had an issue - but I've also never tried to claim more than about 35% of the sale price either in materials and labor. If you search in the handmade forum, there have been a few discussions on this issue.
