What's the weirdest/nastiest return you've received lately? Just got mine!!

In the years we've been on HAQM, we will have fake returns, broken items, swaps, used, etc.

Today was a first for us though.

Customer bought diapers a few weeks ago, returned saying "wrong size", opened the return today to find USED diapers!

Guys.... USED DIAPERS!!! 🤮

I filed the Safe-T claim today, which we all know has become a full joke now. I am guessing I get a response saying I can still sell them! Haha

Happy Tuesday, All 🙃

Oh boy we have received so many fraudulent returns the last few years. Recently we received a teddy bear that smelled like smoke instead of a flea item, a dirty rag instead of a dog toy and an empty hair spray bottle instead of an aquarium item

Hi @Seller_9U8MMSzm8FLgU

Sandy from the community manager team here.

I'm sorry to hear about this return and experience. I can't even handle my own baby's diapers sometimes...😖

Due to the safe T claim policy,

The buyer returned an item in a damaged or unsellable condition, and HAQM determines you were not at fault.

I believe this should be covered. If you're declined please let me know. I'm happy to escalate for additional review.

Best,

Sandy

We sell books and have received some obviously used, books, often a different book than what we sent, sometimes a completely different book.

In order to try to avoid being infested with bedbugs or silverfish, we immediately place returned books in a Ziploc bag if it appears that we can still sell it and hang onto it for awhile before relisting. Obviously we throw out anything that is gross.

I know people have had nightmare infestations of bedbugs after receiving returned items that had them and they weren't initially noticed.

We sell books. The nastiest return-was the response from AMAZON.

Had a newer bookjacker/aggregator (going by FB) inform us that we'd sent the wrong title; would return. Sent them our standard reply, that we take photos of all books before packaging and place a small ownership mark within the book block. If we receive a return without our ownership mark, such returns are reported to AMAZON. Have used the same reply to commercial entities for years.

Don't know if the buyer complained to TPTB; they messaged us there was confusion between similar titles and wasn't the wrong title after all.

Within an hour, AMAZON was on our case. saying we'd breeched AMAZON's messaging rules and must take a communication test, making over 70%. Wasn't much but still...we've been selling here 13+ years. AI gone wild???

We know longer sell cake toppers because..... guess why..... some people just return the open package with the used items, but most don't even scrape off the frosting.

That is actually a felony...

In general, sending

dirty items through the mail is subject to regulations, especially if they pose a health or safety risk.

Specifically, you cannot mail items that are considered hazardous, restricted, or perishable if they pose a potential danger or are not properly prepared.

Of HAQM is going to do NOTHING but encourage this behavior.
